HITT Contracting in Seattle, WA seeks an Assistant Preconstruction Manager to support pricing, scopes, and bid work across multiple projects. You will review subcontractor data, prepare pricing, and help develop cost-saving strategies with senior staff.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in engineering/construction management/architecture and 2–3 years of field involvement, with strong communication and technical analysis skills. A collaborative, deadline-driven mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related field is required.
• 2–3 years field experience or close involvement with projects under construction.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to understand construction drawings and specifications.
• Experience with project scheduling and phasing of projects.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Familiarity with OST and Bluebeam for takeoffs and project reviews.

Responsibilities

• Assist in providing preconstruction services to clients and operations teams.
• Collaborate in a team environment on budget and bid proposals.
• Prepare written scopes of work for trades.
• Review technical and financial information from subcontractors.
• Develop accurate pricing proposals and commentary.
• Write RFIs during pricing phases.
• Identify cost-saving solutions and influence project decisions.
• Communicate with subcontractors and suppliers regularly.
• Assemble deliverables internally and externally.
• Ensure quality and process standards are met across projects.
• Mentor Project Engineers and work with minimal supervision.
