Assistant Pool Manager

Indoor Pool is open all year long

Outdoor Aquatic Center Season begins early-May to early-September

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum age 18 years

High School Graduate (at time the position starts)

Minimum 1 Years' experience at an aquatic facility

Lifeguard certification

JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for the daily duties of both the indoor pool and Aquatic Center including but not limited to: overall safety of all those at the facility, emergency response, customer service, facility upkeep and special events. Pool Manager oversee lifeguards, swim instructors and cashiers (Aquatic Center) in daily task. Manage various task in regards to staffing needs (scheduling, assignments, programing, ect), facility operations and risk management.

SUPERVISION:

Assistant Pool Managers report to the Pool Manager and Recreation Supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Responsible, courteous, good communication skills, good work ethic and ability to work without close supervision. Must possess a sense of pride and accomplishment with one's work. Must have and maintain a valid American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification & be test ready at all times.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Surveillance of guest (guarding the water)
   1. Able to recognize & responded to someone who needs help
   2. Able to maintain focus for long periods of time
2. Water Safety Services
   1. Help with teaching swim lessons
   2. Help with special events & groups
3. Facility Upkeep
   1. Daily and continuous cleaning of facility & lock rooms
   2. Daily trash removal
   3. Enforce all rules and regulations with patrons
4. Communicate with other staff and customers in a courteous and professional manner
5. Enforce facility policies and procedures
6. Comply with City of Troy and County regulations and policies
7. Any other related duties as assigned by supervisors

COMPENSATION:

Work hours are determined by pool operation hours

HOURS

Year Around- approximately 12-30 hours per week.

Summer Seasonal-must be available for at least 40 hours per week.

STARTING SALARY: $20 /HR
