Job summary

Wheeling Linen Service, Inc. in Wheeling, WV is seeking an Assistant Plant Supervisor to help drive production efficiency and quality in our regional laundry operation.

You will oversee production and warehouse functions, coordinate with external facilities, and report to management. The ideal candidate will have leadership experience, a track record in process improvement, and the ability to train staff, maintain safety standards, and meet customer service goals in a growing, employee-owned

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift, push, and pull a minimum of 50 pounds.
• Ability to lead and motivate by example.
• Experience coordinating production and warehouse activities.
• Strong communication with all management levels.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with external facilities to manage deliveries and cross-docking.
• Assist in development and implementation of supply chain strategies.
• Establish procedures for verification of shipments.
• Develop production schedules to maximize equipment and labor use.
• Maintain accurate warehouse inventories.
• Train employees on 5S program.
• Schedule, train, and mentor associates.
• Ensure training guidelines are met for all associates.
• Oversee production metrics and set short/long-term goals.
• Maintain a culture of safety.
• Manage stock room movements and inventory security.
