A leading company in Valdosta, GA is seeking an Assistant Plant Manager to oversee production activities. Prinsco has added a new position and has an opportunity for an Assistant Plant Manager in our Valdosta, GA location. This role will be leading production activities, including:
Lead and Develop Teams: Ensure the right people are in the right roles, providing coaching, performance management, and fostering accountability and growth.
Oversee Production Operations: Manage daily production activities, supervisors, and schedules to meet sales orders, inventory needs, and delivery deadlines.
Drive Safety and Compliance: Serve as a safety role model by enforcing safety standards, investigating incidents, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Improve Quality and Efficiency: Collaborate across departments to enhance product quality, reduce defects, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
Monitor Performance Metrics: Track KPIs, report progress to the Plant Manager, and align production with business goals and customer expectations.
Qualifications & Expectations:
Bachelor’s degree preferred; minimum of 10 years in production supervision experience required.
Strong background in modern manufacturing practices, with emphasis on safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
Proven leadership and communication skills with the ability to influence across all organizational levels.
