Job Summary

This role oversees the manufacturing organization, process improvement, quality, and P&L management. It focuses on efficiency, safety, quality, cost control, and supporting strategic initiatives and projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as primary contact with customers regarding quality and service issues.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives in spoilage, labor, safety, and efficiency.
  • Support and coach production staff to ensure quality products and customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure staff safety through proper information, tools, and hazard reduction procedures.
  • Review operational reports and requests to maintain cost-effective, quality operations.
  • Drive quality initiatives, including SPC and issue resolution.
  • Maintain effective communication internally and externally to ensure smooth operations.
  • Manage costs, including overtime and resource allocation.
  • Collaborate with HR and Plant Manager on personnel issues and staff development.
  • Participate in training and safety programs to promote continuous improvement.
  • Drive accountability and performance among production staff.
  • Coordinate with production planning for scheduling and staffing.
  • Develop employees for future roles and responsibilities.
  • Supervise plant personnel and perform other assigned responsibilities.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Associate's degree or proven leadership success in packaging industry roles.
  • Minimum 5 years of manufacturing management experience in high-volume facilities.
  • Experience with manufacturing improvement methods and self-directed workforce management.
Work Environment

The position requires working in a manufacturing setting with noise, machinery, and environmental hazards, including fumes, dust, and temperature extremes. PPE is mandatory, and physical activities include standing, walking, lifting, and reaching.
