Job summary

Randstad USA is seeking an experienced Assistant Plant Manager to lead aluminum extrusion manufacturing in Bristol, TN. You will direct daily operations, optimize press runs, manage die setups and maximize recovery while reducing scrap.

The ideal candidate has 5–7 years in production management, strong quality/cost controls, and ERP experience (EPICS preferred). Salary range listed; third shift from 6 PM to 2 AM.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate production and processing of aluminum extrusions for the organization.
• Ensure that supplies, materials, labor and equipment are used efficiently to meet production targets.
• Focus on production recovery during extrusion process to minimize waste and adapt work orders as needed during production runs.
• Review processing schedules and production orders to decide on inventory, staffing, procedures and assignments within budget and time constraints.
• Participate in all production meetings as required.
• Assist scheduling all customer orders based on shipping schedules to meet customer demands.
• Assist with set-up, performance and maintenance of dies used in production.
• Review operations and confer with staff to resolve production or processing problems.
• Initiate and coordinate inventory and cost control programs.

salary: $95,000 - $110,000 per year

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate production and processing of aluminum extrusions for the organization.
• Ensure that supplies, materials, labor and equipment are used efficiently to meet production targets.
• Focus on production recovery during extrusion process to minimize waste and use ability to modify, alter or change work order during production run.
• Review processing schedules and production orders to make decisions concerning inventory requirements, staffing requirements, work procedures, and duty assignments, considering budgetary limitations and time constraints.
• Involvement in all production meetings as required.
• Assist scheduling all customer orders based on shipping schedule to meet customer demands
• Utilize experience in help with the set-up, performance and maintenance of the dies used in the production process.
• Review operations and confer with technical or administrative staff to resolve production or processing problems.
• Initiate and coordinate inventory and cost control programs.
