Buffalo Biodiesel Inc. in Tonawanda, NY seeks an experienced Assistant Plant Manager to oversee daily plant operations and support the Plant Manager. This role covers 45 employees across three shifts and requires strong organizational skills.

You will ensure policy enforcement, maintain a safe environment, and drive efficiency improvements. A Bachelor's degree (or higher) and at least 5 years of management experience in industrial settings are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Associates required.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a foreman or management position in an industrial or farm environment.
• Proven experience overseeing large teams (20+ employees preferred).
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple departments and competing priorities.
• Experience developing and enforcing office policies and procedures.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Highly organized, reliable, and able to work independently.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions confidently.

Responsabilités

• Oversee daily operations of the plant and mechanical shops.
• Provide leadership and direction to approximately 45 employees supporting the Plant Manager.
• Ensure consistent policy enforcement and adherence to company standards.
• Maintain a professional, organized, and safe work environment.
• Support with operational oversight and special projects.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, efficiency, and team performance.
• Other duties as assigned
