We are currently seeking a dynamic, driven, and experienced individual to serve as a Assistant Plant Manager in our fast-paced manufacturing environment. This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading company in the industry, where you will play a pivotal role in driving our operations forward. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader with a strategic mindset, capable of overseeing daily operations, coordinating production planning, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. With a strong focus on efficiency, quality, and safety, this role is integral to our success and growth.

Responsibilities

As an Assistant Plant Manager, you will be responsible for

• Assisting the Plant Manager in managing and directing all plant operations to meet the production goals, quality standards, and cost objectives.
• Collaborating in the planning, development, and implementation of operational strategies and objectives to ensure the achievement of the plant’s goals.
• Ensuring all operations are carried on in an appropriate, cost-effective way while maintaining high quality standards.
• Identifying process bottlenecks and implementing solutions in a timely manner.
• Assisting in the development and management of the plant’s budget and ensuring operations stay within allocated resources.
• Collaborating with other departments such as HR, finance, and logistics to ensure smooth operations and effective communication.
• Implementing and enforcing safety and environmental compliance standards.
• Assisting in the development of a workforce plan and managing the performance of the team.
• Leading continuous improvement initiatives and implementing operational best practices.
• Preparing regular reports and presentations on plant metrics for senior management.
  
  

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a managerial role in a manufacturing setting.
• Proven experience in planning, organizing, and controlling production schedules.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing and operational processes.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate, inspire, and drive performance.
• Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with a range of stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with industry-specific software and systems.
• Knowledge of safety, quality, productivity, demand creation, inventory, and stewardship processes.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
