Job summary

Prudential Overall Supply is seeking an experienced Assistant Plant Manager to join our operations leadership team in Hillsboro, Oregon. You will help lead daily laundry facility operations across production, warehouse, and maintenance, driving efficiency, quality, safety, and employee development.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of supervisory or management experience in production, manufacturing, industrial laundry, or operations.
• Proven experience managing budgets, operating costs, schedules, and production deadlines.
• Lean Management or continuous improvement experience, including work with production systems.
• Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• OSHA safety knowledge and employee relations practices.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• Desire to grow into a Plant Manager role.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily plant operations with the Plant Manager to meet efficiency, quality, safety, and productivity goals.
• Assume full responsibility for plant operations in the Plant Manager’s absence.
• Monitor production flow and performance metrics; lead continuous improvement initiatives.
• Control operating costs and help manage the plant budget.
• Oversee inventory levels and ensure accurate product tracking and accountability.
• Develop and manage production schedules to meet customer demands and deadlines.
• Lead, supervise, and develop supervisors and employees across production, warehouse, and maintenance.
• Coach and train staff; conduct performance evaluations and development planning.
• Handle hiring, transfers, promotions, disciplinary actions, and terminations.
• Lead Lean Management initiatives to improve performance and reduce waste.
• Champion safety culture and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with customer service and other departments to maintain service levels.

• Assume full responsibility for plant operations in the Plant Manager’s absence.

• Lead Lean Management initiatives to improve operational performance and reduce waste.
• Champion a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Work with customer service, route sales, and other departments to resolve issues and maintain service levels.
• Other duties as required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of supervisory or management experience in a production, manufacturing, industrial laundry, or operations environment, including leading front-line supervisors.
• Proven experience managing budgets, operating costs, schedules, and production deadlines.
• Production-line scheduling and workforce management experience.
• Demonstrated success with Lean Management or continuous improvement, including work with computer-controlled production systems.
• Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Working knowledge of workplace safety standards (OSHA) and employee relations practices.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Desire to grow into a Plant Manager role.
