Position Overview

We seek a highly skilled Assistant Plant Manager to lead our Quality and Process Engineering teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate thrives under pressure, manages multiple priorities, and drives results. This role reports to the Plant Manager and offers a pathway to plant management.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage quality and process engineering teams, ensuring alignment with company and customer standards.
• Oversee product compliance with specifications and industry standards.
• Develop and maintain quality management systems (QMS).
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and customer service to resolve quality and process issues.
• Support process engineers in optimizing plating processes for quality and efficiency.
• Lead investigations for non-conformances and customer complaints.
• Ensure safety, environmental, and regulatory compliance.
• Contribute to strategic planning for quality and process improvements.
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives using methodologies like Six Sigma or Lean.
• Monitor KPIs and report to senior management.
• Prepare technical reports and audits.
• Foster a culture of safety, quality, and excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• At least 5 years in quality or process engineering within aerospace manufacturing or plating, with 2+ years in supervisory roles.
• Knowledge of aerospace standards (e.g., AS9100, NADCAP) and compliance requirements.
• Experience with QMS, process optimization, SPC, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Familiarity with regulatory and safety standards in aerospace manufacturing.

Desired Skills

• Six Sigma certification (Green or Black Belt), experience with advanced plating technologies, ERP, and quality software.

Career Path
