The City of Lincoln City has a great opportunity for a full-time Assistant Planner and Permit Technician! Covering aspects of both planning and building processes, this position’s unique role is a great step into the Planning and Community Development department. Responsibilities include providing information, technical assistance and administrative support on planning-related matters to the public and other City staff. The successful candidate will participate in special planning projects and coordinate and process land use and other related permit applications.

The Assistant Planner and Permit Technician processes short-term rental licensing and renewal applications, reviews various land use permits for code compliance, and processes electrical and plumbing permit applications. This includes conducting onsite internal and external inspections for all permits, preparing and distributing notifications and composing staff reports for decision-making.

This is an on-site position based in Lincoln City, Oregon. Work takes place both indoors and outdoors. Valid driver’s license required for field work. Please see full job description for more details about the position.
