Assistant-Physical Therapist (Full-time/White Memorial)

Overview

Physical therapist assistants provide direct patient care and selected physical therapy treatments under the supervision of a physical therapist. PTA's assist in the clinical education of physical therapy students and supervise physical therapist assistant students, as well as support personnel. They participate in activities that support patient care, education, and department operations.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited physical therapist assistant education program, or an equivalent foreign program accepted by Indiana PLA. Certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant in Indiana and Basic Life Support certification through the AHA are also required.
