Job summary

ISC Constructors LLC is seeking an Assistant Payroll Administrator to support accurate and timely multistate payroll processing in a fast-paced construction environment. You will help ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations while working as part of a payroll team.

The ideal candidate has 3-5 years of full cycle payroll experience, knowledge of wage and hour laws, and strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of full cycle payroll experience, preferably in a multistate and/or construction environment.
• Knowledge of payroll laws, tax regulations, and reporting requirements.
• Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to meet deadlines.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Experience with ERP system, Viewpoint considered a plus.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and accounting systems.
• Knowledge of payroll software (ADP, Paycom, Paylocity, UKG, or similar).
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) a plus.
• Team player with a willingness to assist colleagues as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist in processing weekly payroll for multistate workforce.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local wage and hour laws.
• Assist in the administration of wage garnishments, child support orders, tax levies, and other mandatory deductions in compliance with legal requirements.
• Audit timesheets, job codes, and pay rates to ensure accuracy.
• Maintain payroll data for new hires, terminations, and employee changes.
• Respond promptly and professionally to employee payroll inquiries.
• Reconcile payroll data with accounting systems and support financial reporting.
• Prepare payroll reports for management, job costing, and compliance purposes.
• Assist with payroll tax filings, audits, and year-end reporting.
