16 hours per week, with opportunities for additional hours as they become available

Pastry Chef Overview

Kneaders Bakery & Cafe is currently looking for a talented Pastry Chef who is as passionate about food quality, customer service, community, and as we are. In the role of Pastry Chef, you will have the opportunity to be part of a dynamic team offering a unique menu selection of more than 40 fresh baked pastries, pies, cakes, and muffins all made with honest, whole ingredients.

Responsibilities

• Proven track record of demonstrating exceptional kitchen skills in the kitchen from following recipes to paying close attention to details to create one-of-a-kind pastries and baked goods. Lifting large amounts of dough, flour, and other supplies weighing 50 lbs. or more; ability to stand, lift, and mix as part of daily duties.
• Ability to work through change and remain flexible while keeping a close eye on what's cooking.
• Early shifts are required; Pastry Chef shifts start early.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of large-scale baking/pastry experience with experience in decorating pastries (preferred, not required).
• Attentiveness to compliance with local, state, and federal food handler and sanitation standards.
• Formal baking/pastry education is a bonus but not required.
