Job summary

Campers Inn RV in Florida seeks an experienced Assistant Parts Manager to lead the retail parts store, overseeing inventory, pricing, and customer service for our RV department.

You will collaborate with service and parts teams, forecast goals, train staff, and ensure compliance with regulations while delivering top-tier support to customers. This role requires strong leadership and automotive parts experience, with opportunities for career growth at our Seffner location.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Five years of experience in an automotive parts department preferred.
• Valid driver’s license preferred.
• Some sales experience preferred.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
• Excellent communication and managerial skills.
• Knowledge of or ability to learn company system applications, including Motility Systems2K.
• Ability to sit or bend for long periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Parts Manager in forecasting goals and objectives for the department.
• Ensure timely turnaround of parts for internal jobs with the Service Manager.
• Train, motivate, and supervise all parts department staff.
• Direct and schedule activities of all parts department employees.
• Provide technical assistance to parts department staff.
• Enforce pricing policies balancing volume and margin.
• Monitor and adjust inventory to minimize obsolescence.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

Essential Job Functions

• This is a safety sensitive position
• Assist the Service and Parts Manager in forecasting goals and objectives for the department and strive to meet them.
• Work with the Service Manager to ensure a timely turnaround of parts needed for internal jobs.
• Understand, keep abreast of, and comply with federal, state, and local regulations that may affect parts sales
• Assist in the training, motivation, and performance of all parts department staff
• Direct and schedule the activities of all parts department employees
• Provide technical assistance to parts department employees
• Enforce and monitor guidelines for working with customers to ensure maximum customer satisfaction
• Handle customer complaints immediately and according to the organization guidelines.
• Enforce a pricing policy that balances volume, customer loyalty, and the cost of doing business
• Assist with monitoring and adjusting inventory to minimize obsolescence

Qualifications

• Education:
• High school diploma or equivalent is required
• License & Certifications:
• Valid Driver’s license and good driving record is preferred
• Five years of experience in an automotive parts department is preferred
• Some sales experience is preferred
• Abilities:
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information
• Excellent communication and managerial skills
• Knowledge of or ability to learn company system applications, including Motility Systems2K and other software as applicable
• Ability to continuously engage in visual activities, such as use of computer, files, and reports
• Must be able to sit or bend for long periods of time
• Must be able to reach above shoulders and lift a minimum of 50 pounds
