Job description

Description of the role:

Classic Ford Lincoln - Columbia is seeking an Assistant Parts Advisor to join our team. As an Assistant Parts Advisor, you will be responsible for assisting customers with their automotive parts needs, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining an organized parts inventory. This role is essential in ensuring our customers receive the right parts for their vehicles in a timely manner.

Responsibilities:

  1. Assist customers in identifying and ordering the correct automotive parts
  2. Assist with technician parts requests and delivery of the parts to the technician stalls in the shop.
  3. Provide excellent customer service by answering inquiries and resolving issues related to parts
  4. Maintain an organized and well-stocked parts inventory
  5. Coordinate with the Parts Manager to ensure efficient ordering and delivery of parts
  6. Process parts returns and exchanges accurately
  7. Assist with receiving and inspecting incoming parts shipments
  8. Collaborate with the service and sales departments to fulfill parts requests

Requirements:

  1. Prior experience in an automotive parts environment is preferred but not required
  2. Strong knowledge of automotive parts and their applications
  3. Exceptional customer service and communication skills
  4. Attention to detail and ability to multitask
  5. Proficient computer skills for inventory management
  6. Ability to lift heavy parts and stand for extended periods of time
  7. Valid driver's license
