The Department of Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry, Bureau of Parks and Lands Division, is recruiting to fill a Seasonal Full Time Assistant Park Ranger position (26 weeks) located at Lamoine State Park.

BRIEF JOB DESCRIPTION: This is maintenance and personal services work providing services to park users at a state park or day use area. Work may include directing and overseeing a small crew of maintenance and operations personnel. Work is performed under general supervision.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Ability to follow directions.

LICENSING/REGISTRATION/TRAINING REQUIREMENTS: Valid Class C Maine motor vehicle operator’s license.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

  • Applicants must be 18+ (Lifeguards 16+)
  • U.S. Citizens or authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Housing provided in Penobscot River Corridor and Allagash Wilderness Waterway; limited availability elsewhere.
  • Most positions require 40 hours/week, including weekends and holidays.
  • Uniforms provided.
