Job Details

Duties/Responsibilities

• Assist Head Track Coach with the following
• Coaching shot put and discus.
• Conduct daily workouts and practices
• Attend all practices and outdoor track meets
• Supervise and instruct student-athletes during all team activities
• Prepare the track facility for all home meets
• Promote balanced achievement in all areas of school life for student-athletes
• Communicate effectively with parents, students, and school administrators
• Assist in building the outdoor track program and plan for its future

Qualifications

• CPR / First Aid Training, Fundamentals of Coaching Training, Health and Safety for Coaches, and Concussion Training preferred
• Complete orientation through human resources including fingerprinting and background checks
• Within three years of hiring, successful completion of the American Sport Education Program (ASEP) course and test entitled "Basic Virginia High School League Course" accessible athttp://www.asep.com/asep.content/org/VHSL.cfmwill be completed.
