Job description

We seek applicants who demonstrate commitment to excellence in research, teaching, and service in a diverse and inclusive academic community. The successful candidate will join our faculty on a full-time basis for a twelve-month appointment beginning July 1, 2027.

Assistant and Associate Professors are eligible for multi-year appointments that align with a 12-month service period (July 1-June 30). Faculty with 12-month service periods are paid for 11 months of service over a 12-month period (July-June), meaning the equivalent of one month is available for paid time off. The base salary range for these positions will be $19,447 - $20,206 per month ($233,364 - $242,472 per year) for the Assistant Professor title or $22,479-$22,981 per month ($269,748-$275,772 per year) for the Associate Professor title, commensurate with experience and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination.

The successful candidate will join the Division of Pediatric Neurology at Seattle Children's Hospital where their role will include EEG reading, epilepsy consultations, and outpatient clinics. Responsibilities will also include shared supervision of adult and pediatric neurology residents.

All University of Washington faculty are expected to engage in teaching, research, and service.
