Duties And Responsibilities
The successful candidate is expected to:
- Teach at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
- Publish research relevant to biostatistics or public health research methods.
- Mentor and advise students at the graduate and undergraduate levels.
- Seek and secure external funding that will support productive research.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to diversity and inclusion through research, teaching, and service activities.
Qualifications
Required:
- Earned doctorate in Public Health or a closely related area (Biostatistics, Epidemiology, Psychology, Statistics, or other areas) conferred by September 1, 2025.
- Demonstrated research experience in biostatistics, epidemiology, or closely-related field based on publications in high-impact, peer-reviewed journals.
- Demonstrated ability to establish an independent line of research.
- Demonstrated teaching experience in public health with an emphasis in biostatistics, epidemiology, public health research methods, or closely-related field at the undergraduate and/or graduate level.
- Demonstrated experience working with diverse groups/populations (not limited to race, ethnicity, and gender).
- Demonstrated excellence in oral communication skills.
- Demonstrated excellence in written communication skills.
Preferred
- Demonstrated ability to secure external funding.
- Demonstrated ability to participate in collaborative research.
- Postdoctoral experience.
