Position Details:

This full-time faculty position is on-campus and in-person.

The Department of Entrepreneurship and Innovation at Texas Christian University (TCU) invites applications and nominations for a full-time tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor within the Neeley School of Business. The successful candidate will begin employment in August 2026.

Successful candidates are expected to demonstrate significant accomplishments in both teaching and research in entrepreneurship. Primary responsibilities will include performing high quality teaching and publishing entrepreneurship research in premier journals. Collegiality and a demonstrated ability to work with others are important. The teaching load and salary are competitive and commensurate with qualifications and will be determined in consultation with the dean.

In recent years, the department’s programs have been ranked in the top 25 by U.S. News & World Report, Princeton Review/Entrepreneur Magazine, Forbes, and Business Insider. Most recently, TCU's Entrepreneurship Program received the 2025 United States Association for Small Business and Entrepreneurship (USASBE) National Model Program Award for Large Institutions, and the 2024 NASDAQ Center of Entrepreneurial Excellence Award. The department’s primary academic programs include an undergraduate business major and minor in entrepreneurship and innovation, and a graduate certificate in entrepreneurship and innovation. These programs are supported by a number of co-curricular activities offered through the TCU Neeley Institute for Entrepreneurship and Innovation, including the Values and Ventures Business Plan Competition, Shaddock Seed Fund, Entrepreneurial Intern Scholars Program, and Entrepreneurship Club.

The nationally ranked TCU Neeley School of Business has more than 3,500 students enrolled across undergraduate and graduate programs, with approximately one third of TCU students in its programs as majors, minors or advanced degree seekers. Departments include Accounting, Business Information Systems, Entrepreneurship and Innovation, Finance, Management and Leadership, Marketing and Supply and Value Chain Management, as well as seven graduate programs including full-time, part-time and online MBA and MS degrees. An earned Ph.D. (or strong evidence of completion of Ph.D. before employment start date) in entrepreneurship or a closely related area. Demonstrated ability to publish in high-quality academic journals in entrepreneurship. Demonstrated ability to teach entrepreneurship courses and evidence of excellence in teaching at the undergraduate and/or graduate levels. Excellent interpersonal communication skills including verbal and written, active listening, critical thinking, persuasiveness, advising, and counseling skills.
