The role contributes to curriculum delivery across business analytics, programming, management information systems, application development, project management, databases, telecommunications, and information security, with data analytics and development as leading needs.

Qualifications

• PhD in computer information systems or related field required.
• Ability to teach a variety of CIS courses (business analytics, programming, MIS, development, PM, databases, telecommunications, information security).
• Strong teaching skills and evidence of scholarly research.
• Ability to work with a diverse student population and supervise students.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate courses during fall and spring semesters.
• Coordinate program activities: scheduling, recruiting, industry outreach, academic support, student placement.
• Pursue a program of scholarly research and publication.
• Advise students and maintain records of progress.
• Participate in recruitment and retention efforts for the program.
• Engage with IT industry groups and companies.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Job description

Candidates are expected to fulfill the role of Program Coordinator and must be able to contribute to the undergraduate Computer Information Systems program and should have broad competence in Information Systems with the ability to teach a variety of courses including business analytics, programming, management information systems, application development, project management, database development, telecommunications, and/or information security. The area of specialization is open, but the leading needs are in data analytics and application development. Opportunities also exist to teach graduate and summer classes.

• Teach undergraduate courses during the fall and spring semesters
• Coordinate the activities of the program, including course scheduling, recruiting, industry outreach, academic support programs, and placement of students upon graduation.
• Pursue a program of scholarly research and publication
• Advise students and maintain records of student progress
• Actively participate in recruitment and retention for the program
• Engage with IT related industry groups and companies
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Candidates must have a doctoral degree in computer information systems or related field from an AACSB accredited institution. Rank will be determined based upon educational background, scholarly productivity, and academic experience.
