Description

The selected individual for the advertised position is expected to contribute to our mission of delivering outstanding clinical care and developing excellence in clinical research in gastroenterology. Leadership opportunities on the gastroenterology service may be available depending on candidate qualifications and program needs. All clinical and translational research experiences and interests will be considered, and expertise and focus in gastrointestinal malignancies or immunotherapy for immune-mediated diseases is highly desirable. Fred Hutch and University of Washington faculty engage in teaching, research, and service. Teaching responsibilities will involve oversight of advanced practice providers and fellows during inpatient and outpatient rotations, and delivery of informal teaching sessions and formal lectures to providers and the general medical community.

The ideal candidate should have a record of and primary interest in gastroenterological malignancies, as well as an active clinical research interest, as demonstrated by peer-reviewed publications, in the application of endoscopic and other modalities to the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of human cancers.

Faculty are expected to perform their primary activities on-site at Fred Hutch.

Qualifications

Applicants must have an MD/DO degree (or foreign equivalent), board certification in Gastroenterology (or foreign equivalent), and must be eligible for medical licensure in the state of Washington.

Salary and Benefits

The annual base salary range for this position is from $436,000.00 to $470,126.00 for faculty hired at the Assistant Professor rank and from $460,531.00 to $493,689.00 for faculty hired at the Associate Professor rank. Pay for Faculty positions is based on a variety of factors, including degree, specialty, clinical practice and experience. This position is eligible for relocation assistance or a sign-on bonus.
