Description:

Tulane University is seeking a full-time academic pulmonologist with experience in lung transplantation. As a physician in the Center for Advanced Lung Disese, the candidate will work in a highly collaborative environment with CT surgeons, intensivists, and other transplant specialists. Pulmonologist within the program are responsible for the entire continuum of care for advanced lung disease patients including pre- and post-lung transplant in both inpatient and outpatient settings. As part of the academic team, the candidate will be expected to participate in the multidisciplinary ICU rounds with colleagues, residents, and fellows, as well as participate in scholarly activities including research and medical education. Successful candidates must a medical degree or equivalent and have passed speciality Boards in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Diseases and Critical Care Medicine. The lung transplant program is part of a comprehensive multi organ transplant insitute (e.g., heart, lung, liver and kidney). This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and growing transplant program. The lung transplant program is supported by a strong accredited referral program including interstitial lung disease, cystic fibrosis, pulmonary hypertension and interventional pulmonary, as well as, a strong and innovative team of bench pulmonary researchers.
