Job summary

AllSearch Professional Staffing is seeking an Assistant Operations Manager for plumbing and mechanical infrastructure in Honolulu, HI. This role supports multiple active construction projects, coordinating RFIs, submittals, schedules, and documentation to keep work on track.

Ideal candidates have 1+ year in construction ops or coordination, a relevant bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, and strong MS Office skills. Expect ~50 hours/week and on-site work with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of construction operations or project coordination experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or related field, or equivalent.
• Experience coordinating RFIs and submittals.
• Ability to read construction drawings, blueprints, and project plans.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to manage multiple active projects and documentation simultaneously.
• Ability to travel using a personal vehicle with mileage reimbursement.
• Ability to obtain required company insurance clearance.
• Ability to work approximately 50 hours per week.
• Residence in Hawai'i.
• Experience in plumbing, mechanical, MEP, repiping, or commercial construction projects is highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day operations across multiple active construction projects.
• Create, log, distribute, and track RFIs, submittals, change orders, and drawings revisions.
• Coordinate submittal packages with engineers and construction managers.
• Assist with project scheduling, resource allocation, and workflow coordination.
• Attend project meetings, document minutes, track action items, and follow up on deliverables.
• Prepare weekly and monthly project progress reports; coordinate with field personnel and vendors.
• Review construction drawings to verify scope and constructability.
• Review contracts and scopes of work for alignment with field activities.
• Assist with vendor/subcontractor pay applications.
• Monitor material deliveries, equipment, and tool availability.
• Support safety compliance documentation and payroll review.
• Maintain organized project files and documentation.
• Support client communications regarding project status and documentation.
