• Maintain client relationships, conduct client visits, address concerns, and complete required reports.
• Resolve employee issues confidentially; serve as the after-hours liaison for assigned accounts and elevate incidents.
• Process payroll, assist with officer scheduling, and manage special-event staffing, training, and event coverage.
• Recruit, hire, train, mentor, supervise, and evaluate assigned personnel; involve HR when necessary.
• Conduct monthly site visits for every client; document visits; address concerns; ensure supplies and PPE.
• Complete counseling reports at unsupervised sites and maintain HR records.
• Oversee training programs, safety procedures, and post-order manuals.
• Manage company vehicles, inspection records, and equipment; maintain devices.
• Conduct post inspections and ride-alongs to ensure service quality.
• Submit weekly activity reports to the Operations Manager; communicate issues by email.
• Attend meetings and remain 24/7 available for emergencies; fill open posts.

Job Summary: Assistant Operations Manager (AOM)

Salary: $52,000–$55,000 | Status: Salaried | Travel: 2–4 hours daily, with occasional overnight travel. | Coverage Areas: Central and Northern Indiana

Primary Responsibilities

Manage daily contract security operations under the direction of the General Manager and Operations Manager, with increased responsibilities as experience develops.

• Maintain client relationships, conduct client visits, address concerns, and complete required reports.
• Resolve employee issues confidentially and promptly; serve as the after-hours liaison for assigned accounts and elevate incidents according to company policy and applicable laws.
• Process payroll, assist with officer scheduling, and manage special-event staffing, training, and event coverage as needed.
• Recruit, hire, train, mentor, supervise, and evaluate assigned personnel; address performance and conduct issues fairly and promptly, involving HR when necessary.
• Conduct monthly site visits for every client under your purview, making every reasonable effort to meet with the client and/or a Security Officer during each visit. Complete and document the visit, address any identified concerns or deficiencies, and ensure the site has the necessary supplies, reports, cleaning materials, and personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Complete employee counseling reports at unsupervised sites when required, submit them to the Operations Manager for approval, and ensure proper HR and personnel-file documentation.
• Oversee assigned training programs, safety procedures, and post-order manuals.
• Manage company vehicles, inspection records, maintenance, and repairs; maintain company-issued phones and electronic equipment.
• Conduct post inspections and periodic supervisory ride-alongs to ensure service quality and compliance.
• Submit a clear, professional weekly activity report to the Operations Manager covering client communications, employee and site inspections, vehicle inspections, and other operational issues. Submit inspection reports weekly by email or paper.
• Communicate site and employee issues to site supervisors, account managers, and the Branch Operations Manager by email promptly. Immediately notify necessary managers of urgent issues.
• Attend scheduled meetings, maintain regular attendance, and remain available 24/7 for emergencies . Fill open posts when necessary.
• Support sales through leads and community involvement; refer customers to appropriate departments for additional products and services.
• Participate in professional and civic organizations that enhance Per Mar's reputation and profitability.
• Maintain respectful interactions with all internal and external customers, comply with company policies and ethical standards, and follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements.
• Ensure all management practices comply with Per Mar's EEO/AA policies and applicable federal and state laws, including hiring, placement, promotion, transfers, selection, and training.
• Perform other reasonable duties assigned by the Physical Security General Manager.
