The Royal Group (TRG) currently has a position open for an Assistant Operations Coordinator in Sidney, Ohio. This role involves managing daily production schedules based on customer needs, overseeing sheet, plastic, and foam inventory, and ensuring timely order fulfillment.

Mission: To provide value-added solutions to demanding customers.

Essential Job Functions:
  1. Review and analyze customer orders and inventory to schedule production efficiently, minimizing downtime.
  2. Coordinate with management to set production schedules that meet company and customer expectations.
  3. Collaborate daily with customer service and sales teams to address needs and ensure satisfaction.
  4. Monitor and manage inventory levels at the site and satellite warehouses, including conducting monthly counts and generating reports.
  5. Create purchase orders and coordinate with suppliers for material procurement.
  6. Verify accuracy of receipts in Amtech and oversee inventory procedures for foam and plastic materials.
  7. Ensure timely ordering of critical supplies and oversee departmental planning tools.
  8. Optimize truck driver routes for cost and time efficiency, analyze logs, and improve scheduling.
  9. Supervise forklift operators and oversee loading, shipping, and delivery processes.
  10. Coordinate repairs and maintenance for trucks and equipment.
  11. Work with sales and specialty departments to enhance customer service.
  12. Maintain product quality standards and enforce safety protocols.
  13. Ensure regular attendance and a safe working environment.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Adhere to company policies, procedures, and legal requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; 2+ years of scheduling experience in manufacturing may substitute.
  • Experience in inventory and cost control, shipping, and logistics.

  • English proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing.

  • Ability to read measurements, calculate percentages, and apply high school math concepts.
Reasoning Skills
  • Apply common sense to execute instructions and solve problems involving multiple variables.
Leadership Attributes
  • Strong time management, leadership, crisis management, employee relations, and motivational skills. Minimum one year of leadership experience preferred.
Certifications:
  • Lift Truck Operator License may be required.
Physical Demands & Work Environment:

Regularly required to stand, walk, lift up to 50 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 100 pounds, and perform tasks requiring good vision and manual dexterity. Work environment includes exposure to moving machinery, noise, and varying conditions.
