Description

Responsibilities

The Assistant Office Services Manager will oversee Office Services and Facilities Management. Key duties include:

  • Monitoring building systems and vendor services
  • Developing policies and procedures for building management
  • Setting goals for staff performance and conducting evaluations
  • Ensuring vendor compliance and reviewing policies
  • Maintaining customer service standards
  • Managing vendor relations and contracts
  • Supervising building maintenance, HVAC, and security systems
  • Supporting IT and emergency management activities
  • Coordinating with various vendors and internal teams
  • Performing other related duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications

Six years of experience in office services, including two in a supervisory role, in areas such as property management, inventory, purchasing, fleet, telecommunications, mail operations, printing, or records management. Educational substitutions are specified.

Additional Information

This position is part of the NY HELPS program, allowing non-competitive appointment processes. Candidates must be eligible on the Civil Service list or have transfer eligibility. The salary is between $66,951 and $85,138, with potential additional downstate adjustments. The position is permanent, full-time, and located in New York City or surrounding counties.
