Job summary

North American Dental Group is seeking an Assistant Office Manager for our Connecticut practice. You will support daily operations, ensure excellent patient care, and help drive an efficient office environment.

The role involves scheduling, billing, insurance verification, and leading front-office activities. Ideal candidates bring 1-2 years in dental/healthcare, strong computer skills, and reliable attendance.

Qualifications

  • Experience in dental/healthcare admin roles or fast-paced customer service.
  • 1–2 years in dental/healthcare settings.
  • Prior management experience supervising eight or more employees.
  • Strong computer skills and ability to learn new software.
  • Experience with Medicare/Medicaid or dental insurance preferred.
  • Excellent attendance and reliability.
  • Outstanding customer service skills.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with patient chart audits to ensure documentation aligns with treatment plans.
  • Coordinate scheduling, payments, and insurance verification for patients.
  • Support team communication in a fast-paced environment under the office manager.
  • Maintain a positive attitude; fill in for the office manager when needed.
  • Contribute to office efficiency and patient experience.

Monday-Wednesday: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Thursday: 10:00 am - 7:00 pmFriday: 8:00 am - 3:00 pm

Responsibilities

Skills Required to Make a Great “Impression” on Our Team

  • Demonstrate problem solving skills and improve office efficiency by assisting with patient chart audits to ensure proper documentation and consistency with patients’ treatment plan
  • Effectively engage in teamwork and communication skills in an exciting, engaging, and fast-paced atmosphere while working under direction of our office manager
  • Exhibit adaptability and dependability while coordinating scheduling, payments, and insurance verification for the best patients around
  • Bring a great attitude to our office that will allow you to connect and form valuable relationships with our team and patients alike
  • Practice flexibility, filling in for office manager when needed
Qualifications

So How Can You “Fill” This Role?

  • Experience managing in dental, healthcare and or another fast-paced, highly interactive customer service atmosphere
  • 1-2 years of experience in a Dental or Healthcare setting
  • Prior Management expereince or expereince managing at least 8 employees
  • Strong computer skills, knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, and ability to learn new programs
  • Experience or prior experience with Medicare, Medicaid, or other medical/dental insurance
  • Great Attendance and Reliability are a must
  • Outstanding Customer Service skills are a must
