Summary Statement
This class is responsible for the overall management of the Nursing Department. Positions at this level report to a Nurse Director.
Essential Functions
Essential functions are fundamental, core duties common to positions in the class series and are not intended to be an exhaustive list of every job duty. Responsibilities include providing or evaluating direct nursing care, developing, implementing, and reviewing nursing care plans, providing health care instruction and guidance to individuals, families, community groups, and nursing home facilities, maintaining effective working relationships with the treatment team, and preparing reports and evaluations. Participants also engage in quality assurance activities and make recommendations for improvements.
