Jackson Street Kids Academy Daycare and Preschool is a small business in Napoleon, IN. We are fast-paced, fun, creative, and our goal is to educate children in a safe, clean, educational, and creative environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in planning and preparing activities (learning centers, curriculum implementation, art projects, story time) under the lead teacher’s guidance.
  • Assist with decorating, reorganizing, and maintaining a fresh classroom environment.
  • Collaborate with teachers to monitor each child's development.
  • Support children in achieving their individual learning goals.
  • Organize classroom supplies and materials.
  • Maintain strong communication and time management skills.
  • Communicate regularly with the Lead Teacher and parents about children's progress.
  • Provide basic care and caregiving activities.
  • Evaluate children’s performance to ensure they are on track academically and developmentally.
  • Attend staff meetings and participate in parent-teacher conferences.
  • Adopt the philosophy, teaching style, and behavior management techniques of the center.
  • Keep the teacher workroom and classroom tidy and organized.
  • Arrive prepared and punctual for work and meetings.

Schedule:

  • 10-hour shifts
  • 8-hour shifts
  • Day shifts
  • No nights or weekends

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
  • CPR Certification (preferred)
  • Child Development Associate Certification (preferred)
