The Pulmonary Intermediate Care Unit at UAB Medicine in Birmingham, AL seeks an experienced RN for night shifts. The role involves direct nursing for a 30-bed unit providing high-dependency respiratory care and collaboration with leadership.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Nursing with 18 months of related experience required.
• Currently licensed or eligible to be licensed as an RN by the Alabama Board of Nursing.
• BLS certification required or should be obtained within 30 days of employment; ACLS within 6 months; PALS within 6 months if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Direct nursing service activities during the shift and in absence of the Nurse Manager.
• Provide professional nursing care for patients in the assigned care unit.
• Support coordination of patient care, personnel management and physician/interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Assist with general administrative duties as needed.
