Job summary

Barnes-Jewish St. Peters Hospital is seeking an experienced nurse leader to coordinate patient care, manage staff, and ensure operational excellence for the department.

The role involves overseeing staffing, payroll, training, and performance evaluations while maintaining high standards of patient safety and quality care. The position is full-time (days) with benefits eligible, and requires nursing licensure and a Bachelors in Nursing preferred.

Qualifications

• RN license and nursing diploma/associate required.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
• Experience leading staff and payroll processes.
• 2-5 years of nursing leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Hires, trains, assigns work, evaluates performance and leads staff development.
• Participates in staffing budgets and monitors expenses to meet goals.
• Delivers patient care per planned interventions and documents per policy.
• Develops and implements collaborative plans of care based on assessment and diagnosis.
• Oversees payroll updates, time cards, and staff communications; schedules overtime if needed.
• Conducts performance evaluations and implements corrective actions as needed.
• Ensures department productivity and achievement of leadership goals.
