Pomerene Hospital in Millersburg, Ohio, is seeking an Assistant Nurse Manager to join the MedSurg/SCU team. This role includes varied scheduling and on-call hours, with focus on clinical leadership and safe, evidence-based patient care.

The ANM will lead the unit under the Unit Manager, oversee staff development, and ensure communication with patients and families while upholding hospital policies and accrediting standards. Ohio RN licensure and a 3–5 year RN background are required.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Nursing required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
• 3-5 years RN experience required.
• State of Ohio RN licensure required.
• BLS certification may be obtained during orientation period.
• PEARS certification may be obtained during first year of employment.

Responsibilities

• Moves throughout the Unit to support patient care and emergencies.
• Coordinates patient care as assigned, assessing and interpreting information.
• Effectively leads Unit staff and supports patient care under the Unit Manager.
• Responsible for staff education within the Unit.
• Provides clear communication with patients, staff and families.
• Works cooperatively with Unit staff, physicians and ancillary departments.
• Maintains high standards for professional nursing practice.
• Performs all tasks according to hospital policy and procedures.
