The role you’ll contribute:

The ANM is a registered nurse who supports the Nurse Manager or Director in the overall operations of their assigned unit. Demonstrates critical thinking, creativity, and resource management to achieve quality performance, positive employee relations, and compliance with hospital guidelines. Skilled in coaching, mentoring, and leading a professional and technical team in delivering patient care. Ensures quality care and demonstrates effective stewardship of resources. Supports change activities on their unit and works to implement changes effectively. Participates in outstanding customer service and maintains respectful relationships.

  • Leads employees to develop their optimal performance levels.
  • Mentors and coaches staff to ensure competency in care delivery, developing preceptors and mentors.
  • Supports performance improvement activities through problem identification, data gathering, change implementation, and evaluation.
  • Engages in patient safety activities including sentinel event monitoring, root cause analysis, incident reporting, and medication safety.
  • Supports unit planning and organization through critical thinking.
  • Uses data-driven decision-making and evidence-based practices.
  • Applies problem-solving skills effectively.

Qualifications

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing upon hire.
  • 2+ years of nursing experience.
  • BCLS - Basic Life Support required or RQI.
  • RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure required or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN).
