Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing required.
• Minimum two years of recent clinical nurse experience required.
• Current state licensure as Registered Nurse (RN).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through AHA or American Red Cross required.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required for Critical Care areas.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required for RNs in Children's Hospital and Emergency Department.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) required for NICU RNs.
• ONS Chemo/Bio course completion required within two years if applicable.
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) or Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC) required for Dedicated Trauma Centers.

Responsibilities

• Provide direction and support to unit staff and supervise admissions.
• Conduct assessments of patients' needs and initiate nursing care plans.
• Evaluate and document patient progress.
• Facilitate planning, implementation, development, and evaluation of nursing programs.
• Assist with developing and implementing policies and procedures for health services.
• Serve as a liaison between the manager, staff, and other areas within the organization.
• Identify and resolve issues affecting patient care services.
• Prepare schedules of work assignments to ensure adequate coverage.
• Participate in and support quality improvement projects and outcomes studies.
• Assist in orienting new personnel and in-service educational programs.
