HSHS’s St. John's Hospital in Springfield, IL is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse in a leadership role for an evening shift (3pm–11pm) with a 5th weekend rotation. The role supports patient care across Illinois and Wisconsin within a growing healthcare system.

Candidates must hold an active state RN license, BLS, and preferably a BSN; at least 2 years of acute-care RN experience and 2 years in charge/lead nurse roles are preferred. Competitive pay and comprehensive benefits are provided.

  • BSN preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years RN staff nurse in an acute setting.
  • 2 years leading/charge nurse experience preferred.

Job description

Pay Range: $41.58 - $62.37 A successful candidate's actual pay rate will be based on several factors including relevant experience, skills, training, certifications and education.

Position Specifics:

Department: General OR

Core Function: Leadership

Schedule: Evening Shift; 3pm to 11pm; Monday - Friday; every 5th weekend rotation on days from 6:45 am to 3:15 pm.

Facility: St. John's Hospital

Location: Springfield, IL

Education Qualifications
  • Graduate from an accredited and approved school of nursing accepted for licensure in the state of practice is required.
  • Bachelor's of science in nursing is preferred.
Experience Qualifications
  • 2 years staff nurse (RN) in an acute setting is required.
  • 2 years experience in a charge nurse, lead nurse, or related position is preferred.
Certifications, Licenses and Registrations
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in state of practice is required. Wisconsin: RNs may practice with a valid multi-state RN license as outlined in the Nurse Licensure Compact rules.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) may be required where necessary.
