Job summary

Baptist Health (Jacksonville) is hiring an Assistant Nurse Manager for the Flex Float team in Jacksonville, FL. This full-time day shift role supports the Nurse Manager with unit operations and patient care. The position requires an ASN, RN license, BLS, ACLS, and at least 2 years of hospital nursing experience.

This role manages 40 hours per week, provides expert clinical leadership, and facilitates patient flow while coaching staff development and implementing improvements.

Qualifications

• Associate of Science Degree in Nursing required.
• Licensed Registered Nurse required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required.

Responsibilities

• Assists the Nurse Manager with unit/area operations.
• Works closely with the direct care staff during their shift to deliver quality patient care.
• Is an expert clinical resource.
• Facilitates the admission, transfer and discharge flow.
• Takes a lead role in implementing changes.
• Supports and coaches staff development.
• Makes shift to shift patient care assignments.
