The Cardiovascular Intervention Center is a core element of the Smidt Heart Institute, performing more than 8,000 procedures a year. The department serves the populations of neonates to and including geriatrics. In this twelve-laboratory facility, we perform a wide range of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures for coronary artery disease, heart muscle function and heart valve dysfunction.
As the Assistant Nurse Manager you will be responsible for coordinating the daily twenty-four (24) hour operations of the Cardiovascular Intervention Center Preop and PACU and assist with coordinating the Cath Lab Procedure area in the evening hours, in order to provide high quality, individualized patient care in support of Medical Center philosophies. You will function as the Department Supervisor and an experienced and proficient clinician, and assume responsibility and accountability for the expert application of the nursing process and the delivery of patient care.
