Job summary

Dignity Health - Glendale Memorial Hospital and Health Center is seeking an Assistant Nurse Manager to provide clinical and operational leadership across perioperative and procedural areas, including Pre-Op and GI/Endoscopy. The ANM will coordinate staffing, patient flow, and care delivery across all phases, working with anesthesia, physicians, and nursing leadership to ensure safe throughput.

The role requires RN licensure in California, an associate degree in nursing, and BLS/ACLS

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing; 2+ years RN perioperative/procedural experience

• BLS CPR certification; ACLS certification

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical and operational leadership for assigned perioperative and procedural areas (Pre-Op/ACC and GI/Endoscopy)
• Manage daily operations, staffing coordination, patient flow, and care delivery across pre-, intra-, post-procedure, recovery and discharge phases
• Collaborate with anesthesia, physicians, procedural staff, nursing leadership, and ancillary departments to ensure safe patient throughput and on-time add-on cases

Job Summary and Responsibilities

The Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM) provides clinical and operational leadership support for assigned perioperative and procedural patient care areas, including Pre-Op / ACC and GI / Endoscopy services. The role is responsible for daily operations, staffing coordination, patient flow, patient care delivery, quality outcomes, regulatory readiness, and staff support across the pre-procedure, intra-procedure, post-procedure, recovery, and discharge phases of care. The ANM uses independent judgment to assign staff based on patient acuity, procedural volume, competency, licensure, sedation and recovery needs, and operational priorities. The role works closely with anesthesia, physicians, procedural staff, nursing leadership, and ancillary departments to support safe and efficient patient throughput, including add-on procedural cases across multiple procedural areas within the facility. The ANM may provide direct patient care, charge coverage, and operational support as needed and when clinically competent to do so.
