Job summary

U-Haul is seeking an Assistant General Manager to run daily center operations in the General Manager’s absence and lead a team to deliver the highest quality customer care.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver’s license, and demonstrated leadership and customer service experience, plus ability to work various shifts. U-Haul provides medical, retirement, training and career advancement benefits.

• Miscellaneous duties such as installing hitches, brake controllers, etc.
• Participate in ongoing continuous U-Haul education through U-Haul University.

Assistant General Manager Responsibilities:

Work Environment:

The work involves moderate risks or discomforts which require special safety precautions, e.g. working around moving parts, machines, fumes or irritant chemicals. May be required to use protective clothing or gear such as masks, goggles, gloves or shields.

Physical Demands:

The work requires some physical exertion, such as, long periods both indoors and outdoors while remaining stationary, traversing spaces, repositioning to reach and use tools, and moving a minimum of 50 lbs. assisted or unassisted.

Since 1945, U-Haul has been serving do-it-yourself movers and their households. Like many other successful ventures, the concept for U-Haul was generated out of need.
