Job summary

U-Haul is seeking an Assistant General Manager in Flagstaff to oversee daily operations in the General Manager's absence and to lead a capable team.

You will ensure customers receive outstanding service, allocate resources, and participate in U-Haul University training while handling related duties such as hitch installations.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience or demonstrated ability to lead a team.
• Customer service experience with a focus on developing customer satisfaction.
• Ability to work a variety of shifts and adapt to changing needs.

• Miscellaneous duties such as installing hitches, brake controllers, etc.
• Participate in ongoing U-Haul education through U-Haul University.

Assistant General Manager Responsibilities:

• Run daily operations of center in General Manager’s absence.

Minimum Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Driver’s license and ability to maintain a clean driving record
• Leadership experience in any form
• Customer service experience
• Ability to work a variety of shifts

Work Environment:

The work involves moderate risks or discomforts which require special safety precautions, e.g. working around moving parts, machines, fumes or irritant chemicals. May be required to use protective clothing or gear such as masks, goggles, gloves or shields.

Physical Demands:

The work requires some physical exertion, such as, long periods both indoors and outdoors while remaining stationary, traversing spaces, repositioning to reach and use tools, and moving a minimum of 50 lbs. assisted or unassisted.
