Job summary

Overstock.com is seeking a Merchandise Execution Support professional to help Merchants develop seasonal assortments, align with customer needs, and monitor product lifecycle.

The role spans business analysis, product and assortment management, vendor communications, and market research to identify merchandising opportunities and optimize inventory. Collaborative problem solving and tech-driven initiatives are emphasized in a fast-paced retail tech environment.

Responsibilities

• Merchants in developing seasonal assortments aligned with customer needs and business objectives.
• Assist in product selection, pricing recommendations, and assortment planning.
• Coordinate the introduction of new products and monitor product lifecycle performance.
• Maintain merchandising calendars and ensure milestone deadlines are met.
• Analyze sales, inventory, margin, and promotional performance.
• Identify trends and recommend opportunities to improve business results.
• Prepare weekly, monthly, and seasonal business recaps.
• Monitor key performance indicators and communicate findings to merchandising leadership.
• Maintain accurate product information within merchandising systems.
• Coordinate item setup, product attributes, pricing, and assortment changes.
• Support assortment reviews and line presentations.
• Monitor product availability and inventory levels.
• Assist with vendor communications regarding product development, samples, purchase orders, and deliveries.
• Track vendor performance and follow up on outstanding issues.
• Coordinate sample management for meetings, photography, and marketing needs.
• Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and consumer preferences.
• Conduct competitive shopping and pricing analysis.
• Identify emerging products and merchandising opportunities.
• Share insights to support assortment decisions.
• Prepare reports, presentations, and merchandising materials.
• Maintain merchandising databases and reporting tools.
• Support seasonal planning meetings and line reviews.
• Ensure merchandising processes are completed accurately and on schedule.

Physical Requirements

This position requires you to sit, stand and perform general office functions. You may also be required to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally. Bending, stooping and reaching are also frequently required.
