Position Summary:

The Merchandising Assistant is an essential part of our merchandising team, responsible for keeping our product assortments just right and lending a hand with our product strategy. They work closely with a diverse team in a dynamic setting, bringing strong time management skills, a keen eye for detail, and a growth mindset, always eager to explore how our products connect with our customers.


Essential Duties
  • Pre-Season Management – Collaborates with the manager to prepare the category by researching competitors' activities, identifying current trends, understanding customer needs, and defining initial goals.
  • Assortment Planning – in support of the manager, help create clear briefs to Design with financial, AUC, IMU, and MSRP targets at the department, pyramid, and attribute level.
  • In-Season Management – assist with the delivery of analytics and customer insights reporting to develop data-driven insights and actionable takeaways.
  • Assortment Management – responsible for accurate maintenance of product line, including PLM entry and product attributing in Excel
  • Key Milestone Support – support the team and direct manager with key milestone communication tools, helping to create presentation decks and tools for key line adoption and handoff meetings.

Minimum Qualifications
  • 1+ yrs merchandising experience in a specialty retail environment, children’s apparel strongly preferred
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel (VLookup, Pivot Tables)
  • Knowledgeable of trends, aesthetic positioning, and assortment planning ability
  • Demonstrated success in developing profitable merchandise strategies
  • Thorough understanding of merchandise financial planning and key metrics
  • Highly analytical, data-driven, able to develop and articulate insights to move business forward
  • Ability to problem solve
  • Strong listening skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills, and have demonstrated ability to communicate throughout an organization
  • Effective working autonomously as well as in a team environment
  • Able to travel, both domestically
  • Education & Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Merchandising, Business, or equivalent experience

$26.50 - $28.50 an hour
