THE POSITION

We seek an Assistant Merchandiser to support our expansion into Europe, Australia, and digital marketplaces. As a key team member, you will be the first point of contact for the website and stores teams globally, ensuring smooth goods flow and optimal stock levels to maximize sales and profitability.

This role involves product setup and stock management, offering an opportunity to drive positive change and take ownership of your responsibilities.

KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Stock Management and Allocation:

  • Set up and maintain products and pricing on in-house systems (Netsuite, Joor).
  • Manage store replenishment and stock profiles.
  • Oversee stock in transit and open orders.
  • Consolidate stock across channels as needed.
  • Set up products for Marketplace channels.
  • Support the line manager in fostering an effective team environment.
  • Maintain regular contact with stores and warehouse teams.
  • Collaborate on trade actions with team members.
  • Assist in growing Affiliate and Key Partner accounts through trade support.

Reporting:

  • Produce daily, weekly, and ad hoc sales reports with insights and recommendations.
  • Prepare and distribute management reporting packs.
  • Analyze store category performance and propose stock/range adjustments.
  • Conduct seasonal analysis to inform buying decisions.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

  • Highly analytical with strong organizational skills.
  • Accurate with information management.
  • Understanding of merchandising principles, KPIs, and drivers.
  • Proficient in Excel and mathematics.
  • Self-motivated problem solver with discipline.
  • Knowledge of the fashion industry and stock management experience.
  • Advanced Excel skills and numerical aptitude.
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Retail experience is advantageous.
