Position Overview

The University of Evansville invites applications for the position of Assistant Coach - Men's Basketball. This full-time role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a competitive NCAA Division I basketball program within the Missouri Valley Conference.

Responsibilities

1. Support the Head Coach in all aspects of the men's basketball program, including practice planning, on-court instruction, and game strategy development.
2. Scout opponents and analyze game footage to develop effective strategies.
3. Recruit and evaluate prospective student-athletes.
4. Coordinate team travel arrangements and logistics.
5. Ensure compliance with NCAA, MVC, and University rules and regulations.
6. Build positive relationships with student-athletes, staff, faculty, alumni, and the community.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Collegiate basketball playing or coaching experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of basketball fundamentals and NCAA rules.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Current CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications or ability to obtain them.
