Assistant Men's & Women's Tennis Coach (Part-Time)

Lafayette College is seeking a part-time Assistant Coach for its Men's and Women's Tennis programs. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work with a competitive NCAA Division I program and support the growth of student-athletes. The Assistant Coach will report to the Head Tennis Coach and assist in all program aspects, ensuring compliance with Lafayette College, Patriot League, and NCAA rules.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Coach and develop student-athletes in both Men's and Women's Tennis programs.
  • Recruit and evaluate prospective student-athletes with strong academic and athletic credentials.
  • Assist in scouting opponents and analyzing game footage.
  • Ensure compliance with NCAA and Patriot League regulations.
  • Organize and plan team events, camps, and clinics.
  • Participate in fundraising and program development initiatives.
  • Maintain positive relations with alumni and the community.
  • Support team operations during competitions, including game-day activities.
  • Advise student-athletes on athletic and academic matters.
  • Attend departmental meetings and contribute to athletic department goals.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Athletic Administration and Head Coach.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree required; Master's Degree preferred.
  • Successful completion of PA State Police Criminal Background Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance, and FBI Fingerprint Check upon hiring.
  • 1-3 years of coaching experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in recruiting at the collegiate level is highly desirable.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and travel.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Candidates should demonstrate strong relationship-building skills, organizational ability, and adherence to NCAA, Patriot League, and Lafayette College policies. A passion for enhancing the student-athlete experience and working with diverse groups is essential.

Compensation & Application
