Job summary

Bluefield University seeks an Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach / Head JV to support a competitive program aligned with the university’s Christian mission. You will help plan practices, coach players, and mentor student-athletes while managing program integrity and travel planning.

The role requires 2–4 years of coaching or teaching experience, a BA/BS in Business, Sports Management, or Exercise & Sports Science, and working knowledge of NAIA regulations.

Qualifications

• Two to four years’ coaching or teaching experience preferred.
• Knowledge of NAIA regulations.
• Ability to mentor student‑athletes and support a Christian university mission.

Responsibilities

• Assist in organizing and implementing practice sessions for men’s basketball.
• Instruct and coach athletes during games and practices.
• Provide tutoring and mentorship to athletes.
• Supervise student‑athletes to reflect the university’s mission.
