Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Must have coached at Division II level.
• Driver’s license required.
• Preferred 3–5 years of Division II college coaching experience.

Responsibilities

• Assists the Head Men’s Basketball Coach with practice planning and scheduling.
• Collaborates with Head Coach and Director of Athletics to create a competitive schedule.
• Assists in planning team meetings, study sessions, and required events.
• Develops social media and marketing plans with coaching staff.
• Creates opportunities for program visibility in Fairmont/Marion Co. and surrounding counties.
• Recruits student-athletes to compete at the Division II level.
• Monitors academic progress of student-athletes.
• Ensures compliance with University, Conference and NCAA rules.
• Assists with private giving to generate supplemental revenue for the program.
• Assists with player development and game day scouting and assignments.
• Other duties as assigned.

Description of Job Duties and Responsibilities

1. Assists the Head Men’s Basketball Coach with practice planningand scheduling
2. Works in conjunction with the Head Basketball Coach andDirector of Athletics to create a competitive schedule.
3. Assists in planning of team meetings, study sessions, andrequired events.
4. Works with Head Men’s Basketball coach and Director ofAthletics on an effective social media and marketing plan.
5. Creates opportunities for the team to gain a visible presencein the Fairmont/Marion Co. community and surrounding counties.
6. Recruits student-athletes to compete at the Division IIlevel.
7. Monitors academic progress of student-athletes.
8. Adheres to and ensures compliance with all University,Conference and NCAA rules, regulations and policies.
9. Takes an active role in private giving to generate supplementalrevenue for the program.
10. Assists with player development and game day scouting,organization, and in-game assignments prescribed by the HeadCoach.
11. Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Required Education: Bachelor’s Degree.

Required Licenses and/or Certifications: Drivers License

Minimum Required Qualifications: Must have coached on Division II Level

Preferred Qualifications: Between 3-5 Years of College Basketball Coaching Experience
