Assistant Men's and Women's Part-time Soccer Coach - FP1ENCREDCOACH

The College of DuPage, located 27 miles west of downtown Chicago, is a comprehensive community college committed to student success and an inclusive environment. We offer nine associate degrees and various certificates, preparing students for further education or careers. We are an equal opportunity employer dedicated to diversity and community engagement.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide coaching leadership aligned with the college's mission, vision, and values.
  • Manage daily operations of the sport, including practices and games.
  • Monitor all NJCAA and college eligibility and academic progress requirements for student-athletes.
  • Recruit prospective student-athletes in collaboration with the Office of Admission, following NJCAA guidelines.
  • Adhere to college policies regarding team budgets and financial practices.
  • Assist with travel arrangements and fund handling for team trips.
  • Oversee sportsmanship and conduct of student-athletes on and off the field/court.
  • Perform duties in accordance with college and athletic department policies and values.
  • Participate in coaches' meetings and other duties as assigned by the Athletic Director or designee.
  • Recruit and train athletes.
Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience (minimum 2 years) in education and coaching.
  • Proven knowledge of coaching strategies, leadership, and team management.
  • Ability to mentor student-athletes and promote their welfare.
  • Knowledge of NJCAA rules and compliance.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making abilities.
  • Flexible schedule for evening, weekend, or overnight commitments.
Licenses and Certifications:
  • CPR/AED certification (or ability to obtain).
Working Conditions:
  • Extended hours during sports seasons, including practices, games, and recruiting.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Coaching certification or license as required.
  • Background check required.
Pay Grade:
